that may blow up any minute.- Physical Description: Pepper is a woman of average height with red-blonde hair that reaches the end of her shoulder blades. She appears to be about in her early to mid-thirties. She has what one would call a toned body, but her muscles aren’t what one would call defined. Pepper’s body structure on the medium side and her arms and legs are long.
The outward appearance that Pepper displays to others is always pristine and composed. The lines of her professional attire are always crisp and pressed and her hair is generally either pulled back in a ponytail or a bun. Pepper has been known to occasionally wear her hair down or pinned partially up, but it is always perfectly in place and off her face. Pepper is often seen wearing an ‘A’ line skirt and a pair of standard heels.
Privately Pepper is a bit less fastidious with her appearance. She’s more relaxed and is able to show her softer and more playful sides. She is quick to remove the heels that she wears during work hours and can often be found wondering around barefoot in the privacy of her own home. While she still tends toward dress shirts she will pair them with jeans or jean shorts and a pair of sneakers (when she can’t just be barefoot). Her sleeping attire is rarely her own clothing. She tends to wear Tony’s novelty shirts instead. At home Pepper’s hair is more often times than not down with the occasional fly away. It’s styling is much softer then when she is displaying her professional appearance.- History: <”http://marvel.wikia.com/Virginia_Potts_%28Earth-199999%29”>Marvel Wiki(Same link is at personality)
The world that Pepper Potts comes from is that of a modern day America. Inside this America there are two particular major weapons manufacturers; Stark Industries and Hammer Industries. Both manufacturers have extensive and highly lucrative defense contracts with the US military. Both manufacturers are, or were at one time selling weapons to foreign countries. Pepper happens to work for Stark Industries. In fact, not only does she work for them, she is the personal assistant of the CEO and largest shareholder, Tony Stark. For the most part Pepper organized Tony's life and ensured that he kept on schedule, or at least managed to make the important things in a relatively timely manner. This changed when Tony returned after being kidnapped in the Middle East. This is also where the previously mentioned 'Super Science' comes into play.
When Tony returned he had a device inside his chest known as an arc reactor. Tony's belief and direction for Stark Industries had also changed dramatically. Through science and engineering Tony constructed a suit and chose to fight the evils that his own company had assisted in creating. This was the birth of the superhero known as Iron Man. Pepper's involvement with Iron Man runs deep through all the movies. Pepper is one of the first to learn of Iron Man's true identity (A discovery which happened when she walked in on Tony trying to peel the suit off with the help of his robot army assistants.) Not only that, but Pepper remains Tony's personal assistant throughout the first movie, showing a strength and loyalty to him that is clearly more than simply an employer and an employee. Towards the end of the first movie Pepper starts to actively help Tony after Obadiah Stane has effectively taken over the company and started creating an Iron Man type suit of his own. In fact, she returns to the company and retrieves information on his creation of the suit as well as evidence which links Obadiah to Tony's kidnapping. Pepper is also instrumental in Stane's death due to the fact that she is the one to overload the large scale arc reactor which causes the power surge that disables his suit, causing him to plummet into the reactor and die.
Pepper later becomes CEO of Stark industries when Tony is (secretly) dying of palladium poisoning. Due to the fact that Ivan Venko (Whiplash) appears and attacks Tony when it was made clear (by Tony) that Tony was the 'only one' who had the ability to create and use arc reactor technology Pepper is stuck dealing with the fall out. Stark Industries plummets and Hammer Industries becomes a major player in the world where it comes to weapons technology. This would be where Nick Fury and his agent Natasha Romanov come fully onto the scene. The pair gave Tony the means to solve the problem of his dying of palladium poisoning. Once he had created an entirely new element which kept him from dying Tony returned as Iron Man and fought off Venko with the help of Rhody in one of his older model suits (which will later be known as the Iron Patriot). Once Venko is killed and the world is safe again Tony and Pepper decide to take their relationship to a romantic level and Pepper technically quits as CEO of Stark Industries.
It is revealed that there is a greater world of super heroes out there. There is the genetically altered Steve Rogers who is better known as Captain America. Bruce Banner, the brilliant scientist who specializes in gamma radiation and suffered from a horrible accident that created an alter ego, The Hulk. There are also the trained agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division). Most notably of these agents are Natasha Romanov (Black Widow), Phil Coulson, and Clint Barton (better known as Hawkeye). It was also revealed that there are worlds outside our own which contain beings more powerful than us. One of these worlds is Aasgard a world that contains the legends of Norse mythology in flesh. Among these and well noted are Loki, the trickster god wants to take revenge on his brother by attacking Earth (or Midgard as they call it). The other is Thor, the god of thunder. Thor was banished to Earth and, while there, grew to care about Earth and vowed to protect it. Together under the direction of Nick Fury, Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, The Hulk, The Black Widow, and Hawkeye make up the superhero fighting team The Avengers.
Before the events of the invasion of New York it is revealed that Pepper has moved in with Tony and the pair is doing a pretty good job of making a go of their relationship. They have started using the arc reactor design with the new element (badassium) in an attempt to create a self-sustaining clean energy source that can be used by the public. It is also revealed that Pepper has rescinded her resignation (not that Tony had accepted it at the time) and was now running Stark Industries with Happy Hogan as the head of security.
Pepper has a meeting with a man who she reveals to Happy she had worked with before. She also reveals that this man, Aldrich Killian, had been romantically obsessed with her in the past. In the business meeting Killian reveals that he has something known as Extremis (this compound is explained in the abilities section). It is clear that Killian is still interested in Pepper, but she attempts to keep things on an entirely professional level. Pepper denies Killian his funding for his project and he seems to accept it with grace. Although he mentions seeing her again later; something that worries Pepper greatly.
When Pepper returns home she is greeted by Tony’s brand new Mark 42 suit, presumably with Tony inside. It’s clear that she’s been living there for quite some time, and due to the fact that she knows Tony so well she soon discovers that he is not in fact in the suit, and that he has already eaten when he was supposed to wait for her. These sorts of things have been happening constantly since New York, but Tony refuses to confide in her. She becomes agitated and turns to leave until Tony finally confides in her. Pepper does her best to console him and they both go to bed. That night Tony accidentally calls the Mark 42 in his sleep and it attacks Pepper. She becomes upset and leaves the bedroom.
Later Happy is badly injured in an ‘attack’ on the Chinese theater and Tony threatens the man claiming responsibility by challenging him and publicly revealing his home address to the world. Pepper wants to leave the house with him so that they are both safe from the terrorist, but Tony refuses. This is when a former one night stand and a biological DNA recoder named Maya Hanson shows up at the house insisting that she needs to talk to Tony immediately and in private. Before she can reveal her reason for being there the house is attacked by helicopters and Tony sends the Mark 42 to Pepper. She saves his life by shielding him from falling ceiling and he then instructs her to get Maya out of the house. Once she has secured her and Maya’s safety Tony brings the suit back to him and the last Pepper sees of him is the entire structure collapsing into the ocean, presumably with him inside.
During clean up Pepper discovers an encoded message inside one of the Iron Man suit helmets. It reveals that Tony is still alive and that there are things he has to do before he can return to her side. Pepper then questions Maya as to why she was at the house. Maya reveals that she believes her boss, Aldrich Killian, is working for the terrorist. She expresses remorse for the entire situation and Pepper does her best to console her. It is quickly revealed that Maya is in on the entire terrorist plot and she and Aldrich kidnap Pepper and inject the Extremis serum into her body.
In one of her lucid moments while the serum fights for acceptance by her body Killian reveals that the reason he is doing this to her is not simply to get Tony to comply and help to stabilize the serum but also because he wishes to keep Pepper as a trophy. Unfortunately Pepper is far too weak and in too much pain to do anything about the situation at the time. When Tony and Rhodey come to rescue her and the president of the United States she is trapped under debris and still in great amounts of pain. Killian attempts to kill Tony in front of her, but their actions only serve to make the structure that she is in even more unstable and she ends up clinging to a beam over 200 feet above a hard surface. Unfortunately Tony is not able to save her from the drop and she falls, presumably to her death. When Killian is about to kill Tony it is revealed that Pepper is still alive and that Extremis has been accepted by her body. Pepper is attacked by one of the suits again and she punches a hole in it before ripping off the arm and using it to kill Aldrich Killian before he can regenerate. Pepper and Tony are reunited with a bit of banter and Tony assures her that he can fix (I assume stabilize) her issue with the Extremis virus in her body. In response to his continually working on the suits Tony enacts the ‘clean slate protocol’ and blows them all up in a beautiful fireworks display and a symbolic display that symbolizes that he will no longer put the suits first (also that he no longer needs them).
(This is around the moment that I’m taking her from. She will be arriving off the barge and still wearing the Mark VII arm. She will also still be struggling with coming to terms with the Extremis virus and it’s potential to blow her and everyone near her to dust).- World: Pepper comes from a world that is an alternate modern day Earth. Technology in the Marvel Universe is advanced beyond the current real world standards (You could say it is modern technology with a dash of super science thrown into the mix). In this world, superheroes like Captain America, The Incredible Hulk, and Iron Man exist. On top of that the world has just discovered that there are other worlds that have far more advanced technology than our own. Because of this a group of super heroes have been banded together by a man named Nick Fury who works for an American agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D.
Earth-199999 is almost a perfect duplication of our own in almost every form. The deviations occur in the scientific accomplishments that have come to pass and the recent realization that other realms of existence (such as Aasgard and the realms above and below it) exist.
The technology in Earth-19999 deviates when Norse Mythology becomes Norse fact. Aasgardians visited the world and those visits became Norse legend and deism. The Aasgardians left behind an object known as the Tesseract. This Tesseract, on Earth, was capable of giving out an astronomical amount of energy. It quickly became a holy relic and was hidden away by an order devoted to keeping it out of the hands of those who would use its powers for evil.
Now we flash forward to the 1940’s and Hitler’s rise to power. A budding scientist known as Howard Stark is busy making super history with a German refugee known as Abraham Erskine. Erskine had already attempted to use his serum on a man known as Johann Schmidt; unfortunately the serum had not worked as Erskine had intended. He had created a power hungry monster that would later rise in the Nazi ranks and create a division known as HYDRA and use the Tesseract to create weapons the likes of which the world would never believe could exist. Erskine soon defected to the United States where, with the help of Howard Stark, he would perfect his serum and create the first well known super hero in Captain America. This serum would only be used once due to the fact that Erskine was assassinated by HYDRA agents. Captain America too would be lost to the espiers as he saved America from a full frontal HYDRA attack. In Howard’s methodical but sadly fruitless search he found only the Tesseract, but not even the remains of Captain America’s body were found.
Howard quickly became the most trusted name in the scientific world. He used the Tesseract as inspiration for a new creation known as the Arc Reactor. Howard made several prototype arc reactors, but before he could perfect his arc reactor Howard Stark and his wife were tragically killed in a car accident, leaving their seventeen year old son, Tony Stark to run the company.
The military continued to attempt to recreate the serum that had created Captain America, but to no avail. It wasn’t until Bruce Banner experimented with gamma radiation that anything substantial came of the research. In an attempt to prove the validity of his research Banner experimented on himself. This experimentation resulted in a Banner becoming (when his emotions run out of control) a gigantic green mutation known as The Hulk.
With things branching beyond the conceivable containable the governments of the world created an organization known as the World Security Council. The WSC began funding an organization known as the Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement Logistics Division (also known as S.H.I.E.L.D) There is, however, strong evidence (based on things said by Nick Fury in Iron Man 2) that S.H.I.E.L.D has its roots far earlier than this. That Howard Stark was one of the founding members of the organization and had close ties to Nick Fury himself.
After Tony Starks capture and escape from Afghanistan he quickly became the world’s first (since Captain America) publically known superhero. S.H.I.E.L.D attempted to contact Stark in the forms of Phil Coulson and later ‘Natalie Rush’, but in the end decided to only use him for consultation. Around the same time as this was occurring the first contact between Aasgardians and humans in centuries was occurring in the form of the banished ‘god’ Thor. This was the first time in the 20th century that man learned that they were not alone in the universe and that there were beings greater than they could ever imagine coming right for them.
Not long after Thor’s return to Aasgard, Loki, another Aasgardian arrived on Earth intent to rule it. Due to the nature of Loki’s attack and the grand scale battle that took place in New York between the newly formed Avengers and a Chitauri invasion fleet led by Loki, the whole world finally witnessed the truth about the world they lived in. They were not alone and the neighbors weren’t exactly friendly.
Even so all was not well in the world. Man’s fear was leading to greater and more powerful weapons and greater and more audacious terrorist attacks. The most publicized came in the form of a terrorist known only as The Mandarin; someone who was using mass media to display his message and his violence to the world and attack the United States.- Talents/Abilities: Pepper's strongest skill set is clerical, managerial, and organizational. She is the only person who can manage Tony Stark and the only one who can get him to do anything without force, coercion, or bribery.
(Clerical skills: 6/10
Organizational skills: 8/10
Managerial skills: 9/10)
Pepper is one of (it seems) the only people who Tony respects and trusts. She's oddly not afraid of anyone who is more powerful than she is. She's the sort of person who could (more than likely) stand down a God himself and still get him to file the right paperwork in triplicate. Pepper is fully capable of verbally dealing with anyone in power who she feels needs to be given a 'talking to'.
(Persuasion skills: 5/10
Persuasion skills when dealing with Tony: 7/10)
Pepper is capable of taking a lot of emotional stress before showing even the smallest crack in her professional face, and even then she does it with strength and dignity. It is only when she is with those she’s most comfortable that she will show how truly emotionally stressed out that she is.
(Empathy: 8/10)
Pepper recently joined the world of super beings when a man known as Aldrich Killian injected her with an experimental genetic rewriting process serum known as Extremis. The capabilities for Extremis are listed below and found on the Marvel Wiki.
Healing Factor:(10/10 ) The Extremis virus imparts incredible restorative capabilities upon the host organism, which was its primary original intention. Superficial wounds close over and heal completely in a matter of seconds, and severed limbs can take minutes to regrow, although particularly extensive damage- such as when Tony shot an Extremis-enhanced soldier through the heart with a chest repulsor- would not be healed.
Exothermic Manipulation:(With Extremis: 10/10) Hosts of the Extremis virus are able to consciously raise the temperature of parts of their bodies. The effect can be controlled to the extent that it might only scorch skin, or increased to the point where it can cause steel to turn into a molten state.
Superhuman Strength:
(With Extremis: 10/10)The Extremis virus enhances the muscular power of the host considerably. The extent appears to vary within marginal limits, but most have demonstrated the ability to hoist the weight of a human male effortlessly in one hand and hurl such a weight across a room, as well as engage the Iron Man armors in battle without weapons.
(Strength without Extremis enhancement: 3/10)
Enhanced Agility:(With Extremis: 10/10) The Extremis virus enhances musculature to become more powerful in its motion, granting the host marginally enhanced agility.
(Agility without Extremis enhancement: 5/10)
Even in cases where Extremis has bonded to the host (as in Pepper’s case) there is a potential for the compound to become unstable and detonate the host subject.
It should be noted that Pepper is not the sort of person to use her super powers if she can manage without them. More likely than not any use of her super abilities would be either in an accident or an emergency situation. In most situations she will rely on her more human abilities than anything else.- Personality: <”http://marvel.wikia.com/Virginia_Potts_%28Earth-199999%29”>Marvel”>Wiki
Pepper Potts is what would be looked at as a strong supporting character or a sheath character. She is looked at as the morels and humanity of Tony Stark. This doesn't mean that Pepper isn't a dynamic person in her own right. In fact she very much is. Pepper is the picture perfect example of a 1940's 'girl Friday'. This is a woman who has everything handled and has no problem with standing on her own two feet without any help from a man. Pepper is the sort of woman who gets things done and knows exactly how to manage people in a way that gets those things done efficiently and effectively. During the second Iron Man movie Tony tells her that it's always been her that was perfect to succeed the company. The reason for this is because she is just as smart and strong as Tony himself is (in her own way), she's simply more organized and morally guided. If Tony is the Id of the brain then Pepper is the Ego and Superego.
Even though Pepper can be strong willed and occasionally hard headed she is also very aware of her surroundings and a very caring person. She's the sort of person who would remember your name and birthday even if she's only met you a few times. Even though Pepper has only met with Phil a few times she makes sure to talk to him and treat him like a dear friend. She knows not only his first name but also intimate parts of his life (such as the fact that he was dating a cellist who lived in Seattle). Pepper clearly wishes to ensure that those around her feel valuable and secure. With this comes her amazing ability to diffuse any situation (Unless there are giant metal suits involved). She can easily swap between being personally involved in a situation and putting on a 'work face' for the press and the surrounding people so as to calm things down and allow the world to keep going, even if she's still emotionally holding her breath.
Pepper has a unique way of showing her displeasure, especially with Tony. It's never obvious and always tongue in cheek. With that same pleasant smile that she happily asked about someone's son she will pleasantly point out another person (usually Tony's) fault, and request for them to cut it out. Pepper is always professional at work. With her ability to make others feel at ease and her simple and kind way of guiding people in the right direction she keeps everyone on track and runs Stark enterprises while Tony hides in his workshop and comes up with his next greatest idea.
Pepper is an incredibly organized woman. This probably stems from the fact that she's in charge of not just one, but two lives. Without Pepper, Tony Stark would probably not be able to find anything (A fact that is pointed out in the first movie during the dance scene). She's his organization and even while he's trying to destroy himself in Iron Man 2 she's doing damage control. Taking care of him is a bit like taking care of her own oversized child.
When Pepper loves someone she loves them deeply and completely. When it comes to her relationship with Tony she would never even think of looking at another man. To Pepper, Tony is all she wants, faults and everything. She may quip and complain about him, but it is mostly in fun. She’s actually very proud of the man that he’s become since returning from Afghanistan. What she can’t stand however, is when Tony shuts her out.
To Pepper, being able to help those she loves and cares for is important. The shutting out that Tony does to her in regards to the events of New York are more than just his ‘typical coping mechanism’. It is something that she thought they were past. Yet even while she is hurt by his actions she’s still willing to stand by his side (even if she’s short tempered most of the time and frustrated). She keeps a hope that slowly he will open up to her and let her help to heal the wounds that were opened by the battle of New York.- Sexuality: Pepper isn’t the type of person to flaunt her romantic liaisons. In fact, she’s not one to discuss them at all. If someone isn’t involved with her then they probably know nothing about her romantic history or sexual dealings. She is the type of person who likes to keep her private life as private and, on many occasions, even her employer has no idea what she is doing (something he doesn’t like).
Once involved with her romantically/sexually one learns that Pepper is in fact surprisingly sexual in nature. Pepper is the sort who gives her all into her relationships and expects her partner to do the same. She can be both experimental and devious, but no matter what her partner is ‘hers’ and vice versa. Pepper is not one to share her significant other with others. Pepper is the sort of person who is incredibly faithful and, even if her significant other’s sexual past is sordid and extensive (which she was well aware of with Tony when they started going out) she remains trusting of their faithfulness to her.
Pepper’s preference is men, and, while she is known for her witty comebacks in regards to Tony Stark, she is not one to flirt with others. In fact, if you aren’t in a relationship with her she is all business and will be very blunt about her lack of interest in you should the topic arise.
Pepper and Tony’s relationship
When Pepper agreed to date Tony she had every understanding of the type of person he once was and, to an extent, still was. She’d been there for everything that he’s been through and supported him as much as she could. Pepper has never had any qualms about speaking her mind to Tony or taking short jabs at his past history.
Pepper doesn’t agree with the man Tony once was, but she also trusts him completely. She believes that when he asked her to be with him that he was willing to completely devote himself to her. She trusts that when he says that he loves her he means it from the bottom of his heart and with all of his being. This is the reason why she agreed to be with him even with the colorful and questionable past that he presents.- Reason for playing: The plot and premise sounds absolutely amazing and fantastic. I’ve always been the sort of person who likes a story with ‘meat’ to it, and between the supplemental reading that you’ve provided and the premise information I have to say I’m very excited. Especially since I think Pepper would fit in wonderfully with the different groups.
While her talents are not exactly fighting (excusing her take down of Killian in the end of IM3) there seems to be a plethora of things that she could still do in this world. Pepper has always been a planner, a thinker and a solver. These are all things that she can easily get involved with in Junction. This is also the first time I’m playing Pepper with Extremis, so I wanted a place where she would still have the potential to utilize those abilities should I choose to. Junction seems to provide an opening for that as well, which makes me very happy.- Object: : I’d like something that would be able to enhance or compliment Pepper’s natural human abilities. Something subtle and simple that would complement both her personality and her visual display. I honestly have no other preference on the object other than that.
- Concept: An incredibly competent and sharp witted young woman who recently was handed the job of CEO of the world’s only name in clean sustainable energy (as well as many other amazing things.) She also happens to date a heavy metal superhero and has just recently become a neigh to indestructible force

Pepper had been given the explanation, the information packet and a new phone. She’d also been told of her two week housing arrangements and been given some of the world’s currency. He’d confirmed her fear that she’d arrived here alone; which meant what? That Tony was still on the barge alone, or worse yet, that he were looking for her. They’d finally managed to get back on the same page (as strange of a page as that was for them) and now she was who knows how many thousands of light years away with no way of getting back to where she belonged. On top of that there was a very real possibility that she could explode and take out a city’s block worth of people.
She bit down tightly on her lip as she let the warm water of the shower in her two week apartment run over her. She had to figure out a way to get herself stable; then get herself back home. Getting home would be harder, which made finding a way to stabilize the Extremis that ran through her veins the priority. She wished Tony were here. She didn’t like the idea of letting anyone else have access to her blood other than him. Unfortunately she didn’t have much choice in the matter right now.
Shutting off the water and wrapping a towel around herself she went about drying her hair and body. It wasn’t much, but she’d done a superficial washing of her clothing in the sink to get the grime and sweat off it; after that she’d done the best she could to dry them with a blow dryer before putting them back on. She dropped onto the bed and wished for the hundredth time since her arrival that she could just walk back through that bathroom door and go back home. Then she reminded herself that nothing would get done if she just lay on the bed and wished to go home. She reluctantly pushed herself onto her elbows, then to a sitting position, and then moved back to the bathroom to comb and pull back her hair. Once that was done she made her way to the small desk and propped the phone against the wall, making sure to adjust it so very little of her attire was showing. It was time to find someone who could help her with her explosive problem.

[Pepper has positioned the video device so that the tops of her shoulder and her head are all that can be seen in the picture. She’s adopted the positioning and mannerisms of someone who is far more comfortable here than she actually is. There’s a soft, professional smile on her face and a slight crinkling to her eyes that is usually covered up with make-up.]
I’m sure you’ve all heard these over a hundred times, so I’ll cut to the chase. My name is Pepper Potts and I’m looking for a scientist familiar with genetic encoding. Since I’ve just arrived I’m willing to trade my services for yours. I have over ten years of experience as a personal assistant, and roughly a years’ experience being the CEO of a major corporation.
[Pepper bites her lip lightly, trying to decide if she should add to what she’s already said. She doesn’t want to give too much away, but at the same time she doesn’t want people to take the matter lightly.]
This is a delicate matter and of some urgency. - ▲ TICKY BOXES
